How it Works

The Pre-Session Consultation

Successful photography doesn't just happen; preparation is crucial. So the first step is a pre-session consultation. We can either have a chat over the phone or by email.
 
As well as discussing your specific reasons for booking, we'll chat about outfits, hair and makeup and any concerns you might have; again, it's super-important for the photographer to know all these things in advance so the session can be tailored to you. In that respect, it's no different from booking a hairdresser, an interior designer or a dressmaker - none of them would just dive in without finding out exactly what their client wanted first!

 

How Much it Costs & What to Expect

Headshot sessions are £295 (personal branding sessions start at £395.) This includes:

  • 1 hour of photography in central Guildford
  • Time for one outfit change
  • Editing, post-processing, light retouching and resizing of files
  • 12 images supplied at high resolution and sized for LinkedIn

If you'd like to have your hair and makeup done beforehand, I'm happy to recommend a hair and makeup artist and you're free to book them separately.

You won't have to worry about knowing how to pose, or whether you should smile or not - I'll take care of all that side of things! And I'll guide and encourage you every step of the way.

What Happens Next

Afterwards, I'll edit your images, select the best 12 and process and lightly retouch them to enhance them subtly. I don't believe in heavy-handed Photoshopping which looks fake, but I do believe that you should look like you; so please don't expect me to erase your expression lines (the soft lighting I use plays a big part in achieving a beautiful end result.) Do expect each image to do you and your business justice by presenting the very best version of yourself.

Editing and processing takes between 7 - 10 working days and you'll then be able to download all 12 images. Each file will also be resized for LinkedIn.
