My headshot sessions all take place in central Guildford, either indoors or outdoors, depending on my clients' requirements.

Your headshot speaks volumes and it has to make a great impression first time. So here are some of the things a professional headshot is not:

  A selfie

  A passport photo

  A holiday snap

  A photo taken by "a friend with a camera"

Once you've discounted all of the above (you have, haven't you?!) the next thing is to find a photographer who's the right fit for you: this is so important, as there are lots of us out there, and comparing our services just based on price is definitely not the right approach. Look for someone whose style of photography you actually like and whom you feel will understand exactly what you need.

Am I the Right Photographer for You?

There are so many different styles of headshot that it can be quite overwhelming trying to decide which is right for you. So here's what I offer:

 Natural light headshots, either indoors or outdoors - so no studio lights

 I don't use any studio backdrops, so if your images need to match those of the organisation or company you work for, then it's worth checking that my style of photography will fit in with that. You can view examples of my headshot work here

 Advice on what to wear to create the best impression and how to prepare beforehand

 Time for clients to change into a few different outfits; ideal if you need a range of headshots in, for example, formal and casual styles to suit different platforms

 12 high-res, hand-retouched digital files which will also be resized for Linkedin

 For clients who'd like the services of a hair and makeup artist, I know some lovely people whom I can put you in touch with. Please be aware, though, that if you do want to use them, you'll need to book your session well in advance. This service is completely optional, so if you don't wear makeup or if you'd prefer to do your own, that's absolutely fine! I also provide helpful tips on doing your own hair and makeup on the day. 

I know that most people don't relish being photographed, so it's very important to me that my clients feel comfortable in front of the camera. I promise that my headshots will bring out your individuality and personal style with no awkward poses or cheesy grins in sight!
